MOH has just approved the use of the H1N1 vaccine for children from 6 months onwards.
Children from 6 months to 3 years of age will need 2 half doses one month apart.
Those from 3 yrs to 10 years will need 2 full doses one month apart.
We currently have stock of the Panvax H1N1 vaccine which is the individual shots that do not contain mercury. These are $30 nett. The Panvax H1N1 vaccine is the one that the MOH has approved for use in children as they are satisfied with the safety of the vaccine.

Hi Doctor, my son who is turning 3yr old this coming Jan 2010 will also be starting his preschool next year. He has taken e seasonal flu jab 3days ago. May i ask when will he be suitable to take the H1N1 jab so as not to clash with the seasonal flu jab. thanks in advance.
You can take the H1N1 at any time following the seasonal flu jab. They can also be given at the same time.

It is not necessary to give but good to give.
Just like it is not necessary to buy life insurance.

My son is turning 3 on coming 5th Mar, as we going China with husband for at least a yr, therefore we thinking whether to let our boy take the H1N1 jab or not. Pls help to advice on below questions:-
Q1: My boy need to take half dose or full dose? If he take a jab now, will be half dose but for next jab he already 3yrs old, so half or full?
Q2: Heard few negative news that kids aft taking the H1N1 jab died in other countries, so is it really related to the jab? In sgp, the jabs safe for kids?

We will give half jab now and full jab after he turns 3. In our experience, there has not been any adverse effect from the H1N1 jab.
Do you offer Fluzone? Or flu vaccine via nasal spray?

My family had H1N1 jabs last year. As we are planning to visit HK soon and I heard there's an avian influenza outbreak recently.
Could you advise any vaccination required prior to the trip?
